Excellent boots and excellent value

I couldn't be more pleased with these (my first) Caswell boots. The bison leather is supple and brings a bold look to jeans or chinos. Design and construction is very good in any price range, but excellent for this price. I really appreciate the partial cork midsole and Vibram outsole. It's a combination that makes for a firm connection to earth, without being heavy or wooden feeling. Fit for me was true to size. I wear a 10.5EE, and these are perfect. I own quite a few boots, from several different makers, most of them more expensive. These Caswells are a fine addition.

Soft as butter

The softness of the upper was amazing. There was no break in on them was non-existent. The leather still has a subtle waxiness to them with a gorgeous pull up when I flex my feet.
The density of SPI is great with a very good QC on the stitching of the upper.,
The welting is excellent with only a millimeter wander , which on a hand made product is more than acceptable.
The only real issue I had is that the laces out of the box feel a little long, but that is only a minor issue.
